To remove skin stains, it is necessary to use a state-of-the-art laser spot
It is natural for the skin to stain despite sunscreen and that we therefore desperately look for ways to remove spots and skin imperfections.
Why does leather stain?
The skin is one of the organs of our body most sensitive to external agents (sun, pollution and others) but also to external agents, such as hormonal stimuli which are stronger in women.
So year after year, but especially during specific periods of life such as pregnancy or menopause, spots can appear and indelibly mark the face.
Unfortunately, it is very rare for these spots to go away on their own, i.e. without resorting to laser spots.
Stained face
Unfortunately, spots rarely appear in hidden areas, instead they are concentrated on the face and in particular on the forehead, cheeks and lips.
In addition to sun exposure, the reasons why certain areas of the face stain more frequently than others are not well understood, but knowing this can help protect these parts of the face even more carefully.
The forehead is generally stained in its central part, with a thick “V” shape and in the portion of skin above the eyebrows.
Cheekbones can stain in many different ways, but generally, larger spots extend into their highest and most lateral portion.
The lips, on the other hand, are most frequently stained in the area above the upper lip, right on the border with the vermilion, i.e. the mucous part of the lips.
Creams and products for stains
Spot creams are divided into two categories:
- protective or shielding creams
- lightening creams
The former must always be used, when I say always I mean every day. Even when the sun does not seem to be there, UV rays can pass through the clouds and hit your face, staining it.
Surely the maximum attention must be there when you go to the beach or in the high mountains, in this case it will be essential to apply a high protection and renew it several times a day.
Fortunately, more and more face products (makeup, foundations, concealers, face creams) contain a covering and non-evident sunscreen.
Lightening creams can prove to be very useful in the treatment of facial spots. Our advice, however, is to ask your plastic surgeon for guidance on what products to use and how often to apply them.
The most effective creams are those made by the pharmacist on medical prescription (galenic creams). Be careful not to overdo it, these products cannot be used continuously, it will be necessary to do cycles monitoring the degree of redness caused.
The creams should be suspended before and after the laser spot treatment, according to the instructions of your specialist.
How the laser stains works
It is possible to perform the treatment on the whole face or focus it only on the spots you want to remove. Depending on this choice, it will be decided which laser stains to use, which is why it is essential to contact a medical center that has all the latest generation lasers available.
In the case of treatment on the whole face, a fractional CO2 micro ablative laser, such as the Smartxide 2, will be used.
To treat facial spots individually, the laser of choice is the Q-Switch PICO, a very precise and powerful latest generation laser.
Very frequently, the combination of the two lasers will be opted for in different sessions, putting into practice a personalized treatment protocol.
The treatment is practically painless but the slightest discomfort is alleviated by using a jet of cold air directed at the face.
After the session, the face will be red and will have to be treated with simple chamomile compresses and a lot of moisturizer. If you perform these attentions correctly, the redness will disappear after a few hours or a few days.
Before and After Laser Stains
Removing facial blemishes is not always a simple process and almost always several sessions are necessary depending on the result you want to achieve.
Each treatment that is carried out the spots are progressively lightened and disappear gradually.
Unfortunately, leather is constantly evolving and unfortunately spots, not treated ones, but other new spots may appear on the skin. It is therefore essential to stabilize any hormonal alterations and protect the skin with sunscreen.
Laser Stains Costs
Surely the removal of stains will have a cost that could be challenging, especially if you treat more difficult stains such as Melasma, but these treatments can be covered by medical insurance if any.
Let’s not forget that after removing the stains it will be possible to save what is normally spent on lightening products and protective creams that are continuously purchased in perfumeries or pharmacies.
Who to rely on to remove facial spots
It is essential not only to contact a doctor specialized in the removal of stains but also to a center that has the latest generation of laser stains available, obsolete laser stains could not only be ineffective but also harmful to the skin.
